Metaforms, a B2B artificial intelligence (AI) startup aiming to modernise the market research industry, has raised $9 million in a Series A funding round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Nexus Venture Partners and Together Fund. The round brings Metaforms’ all-time raise to about $10 million. Metaforms began commercial operations six months ago and has since signed on clients including Dynata, Savanta and STRAT7, primarily based in North America and Europe. The startup claims that its platform now processes more than 1,000 surveys a month.
Metaforms presents its agents as assistants that enhance researchers’ productivity, assisting agencies in increasing project volume and speeding up turnaround times, in contrast to AI solutions that aim to replace human labour.
According to Akshat Tyagi, co-founder and CEO of Metaforms, “our goal is simple: help great research teams spend more time doing the work that actually matters and less time fighting fires. More businesses can access high-quality research when the tedious tasks are automated.”
The startup will use the raised capital to grow the team, expand into new workflows like report generation and voice-based research, and deepen integrations with tools like Decipher, SPSS, and Confirmit.
